ITALIAN: L’Arsenal è alla ricerca di un massaggiatore. L’obiettivo del team medico del club inglese è quello di fornire un buon livello di assistenza per la prima squadra. Con i ruoli che includono medico di squadra, fisioterapisti, massaggiatori e una vasta gamma di personale di consulenza, tra cui nutrizionista, osteopata, insegnante di yoga e podiatrist, c’è un approccio di squadra per fornire un servizio medico di alta qualità ai giocatori.

Lo scopo primario di questo ruolo è quello di fornire massaggi e dove richiesto dallo staff medico occuparsi anche dei giocatori feriti sotto guida dai fisioterapisti.

Se richiesto il candidato dovrà assistere il processo di screening già in atto per la prima squadra e contribuire allo sviluppo di questo processo. Il titolare del posto contribuirà a partecipare, ove del caso, al programma CPD interno esistente, che sarà programmato in tempi adeguati per tutta la stagione.

Responsabilità:

  • Contribuire al benessere e alla preparazione del prima squadre
  • Fornire terapie di massaggio per migliorare i giocatori e minimizzare il tempo di recupero delle lesioni 
  • Viaggiare con la squadra di Under 21 
  • Valutare l’efficacia delle tecniche applicate 
  • lavorare con altri membri del gruppo medico per fornire un approccio olistico al trattamento e alla prevenzione degli infortuni
  • Contribuire allo sviluppo professionale continuo interno della squadra 
  • Contribuire alle terapie di massaggio offerte ai giocatori su partite specificate e tutte le sessioni di allenamento e, se richiesto, il supporto al team medico nel pre-partita della squadra in hotel.

Principali requisiti:

  • Qualifica di Massaggio Sportivo (di cui diversi tipi) 
  •  Esperienza specifica
  • Esperienza di lavoro con lesioni sportive
  • Esperienza di lavorare in un ambiente di squadra.

Abilità / Competenze / Conoscenza:

  • Conoscenza della terapia di massaggio 
  • Capacità di comunicare efficacemente, sia scritta che oralmente, in modo chiaro e logico
  • Capacità di lavorare in modo collaborativo ed efficace per ottenere la migliore assistenza ai giocatori
  • Impostare e mantenere elevati standard di prestazione di lavoro e fornire qualità in modo coerente ed efficiente
  • Possibilità di adottare un approccio olistico al trattamento dei giocatori se sia ferito o no.
  • Utilizzare conoscenze e competenze per promuovere la salute e il benessere dei singoli giocatori
  • Competenze di base di computer, tra cui la conoscenza di elaborazione di testi, database, pacchetti di presentazione e internet. 
  • Esperienza di collaborazione lavorativa all’interno di un team multidisciplinare.
  •  Il candidato di successo sarà tenuto a sottoporsi ad un controllo DBS soddisfacente.

ENGLISH: Job DescriptionThe Arsenal Medical Team’s aim is to provide a world class level of care for the first team squad. With roles including team doctor, physiotherapists, masseurs and a range of consultancy staff including nutritionist, osteopath, yoga teacher and podiatrist there is a team approach to delivering high quality medical input to the players.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide massage/appropriate soft tissue techniques to the first team squad, and where required the young professionals and provide the same for the injured players under guidance from the physiotherapists.

Secondarily, where required to assist with the current screening process already in place for the first team and to contribute to the development of this process. The post holder will contribute to and attend, where relevant, the existing internal CPD programme which is scheduled at suitable times throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the wellbeing and readiness to train of the first team squad
• To provide massage therapy input to improve the fit players and minimise their time lost due to injury
• To travel with the Under 21/reserve squad to games where required
• Evaluate effectiveness of the techniques applied
• To work with other members of the Medical team to provide an holistic approach to the treatment and prevention of injury
• To contribute to the team’s internal continual professional development
• To contribute to the massage therapies given to players on specified matches and all training sessions and, where requested, support to medical team in the team hotel pre-match

Main Job Requirements and Person Specification

Education/Qualifications/Training:

• Sports Massage qualification (of which there are many different types)
• Degree qualification advantageous

Specific Experience:

• Experience of working with elite level athletes.
• Experience of working with sports injuries.
• Experience of working in a team environment.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

• Excellence in the understanding and delivery of massage therapy
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and orally, in a clear and logical manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively to achieve best client care.
• Set and maintain high standards of work performance and deliver quality consistently and efficiently.
• Able to take an holistic approach to the treatment of players whether injured or not.
• To use knowledge and expertise to promote the health and wellbeing of individual clients
• Basic computer skills including knowledge of word processing, databases, presentation packages and the internet.
• Experience of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• The successful applicant will be required to undergo a satisfactory enhanced DBS check

Hours of Work

This role requires individuals to work at such times (including on public holidays, evening, day time and weekend) and for such periods as the efficient and conscientious discharge of the duties require.
